Watts Regulator a pioneer in water safety products since 1874, is pleased to announce the industry’s first Complete Family of Lead Free* Water Pressure Reducing Valves. This exciting and industry-leading new offering underscores Watts’ ongoing commitment to remove lead from all of our products that have a primary use in the potable water supply.

What does Lead Free* mean?

You’ll notice that whenever we use the phrase, “Lead Free*”, an asterisk or other designation will immediately follow the phrase that refers to the following statement.

*The combined metal components of this product contacted by potable water contain less than one half of one percent (0.5%) lead by weight.

This statement addresses the fact that trace amounts of lead can be found in the castings and metal components that we use and therefore may be contained in the final product we produce. However, at this extremely low level of lead we are significantly below the current NSF/ANSI Standard 61 requirements for these products.

What is NSF/ANSI Standard 61?

NSF/ANSI Standard 61 Drinking Water System Components - Health Effects is a nationally recognized consensus health effects standard promulgated by NSF International. This standard enables in-depth assessment of a variety of drinking water system devices, components and materials for health effects. For more information about this standard visit their web site at http://www.nsf.org

How can I tell if a Watts’ Water Pressure
