Thermostat Upgrades Made Easier
Two Wires? No Worries.
Replacing older thermostats with modern versions doesn't have to be difficult. The task can be simple when you select a model that makes use of existing two-conductor wire.
The following tekmarNet® Thermostats use two-conductor wire for power and communication:
- tekmarNet Thermostat 532 - One stage heat
- tekmarNet Thermostat 552 - One stage heat
- tekmarNet Thermostat 553 - Two stage heat, one stage cool, fan
- tekmarNet Thermostat 554 - One stage heat, one stage cool, fan
- tekmarNet Thermostat 557 - Radiant Floor, 2 Heat Pump/Cool, Backup, Humidity
Benefits of Upgrading Your Thermostat:
- tekmarNet thermostats & house controls communicate to provide full system control. By operating the entire system as one, energy efficiency & comfort levels are improved.
- Through communication, features like shared setback schedules, scenes, outdoor temperature display & remote access are possible.
- Cooling control can be added to existing zones without running additional wire between the mechanical room & thermostat. There are two ways to accomplish this. One is to wire a cooling thermostat to a tN2 Zone Expansion Module 324 or tN2 Zone Manager 334. Both can operate cooling equipment based on feedback from the thermostat using a tN2 connection.
- Another method is to assign two-wire tekmarNet heating thermostats to a 'cooling group' operated by a tekmarNet cooling thermostat in another area of the building.
