Diversity and Inclusion - Message from CEO

Dear Watts employees,

Like many of you, I was horrified and angered by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week. And the demonstrations that occurred over the weekend in the United States and around the world reminded me of the deep pain and injustice that racism and bigotry inflict on the black community and other minorities. Sadly, the death of Mr. Floyd was not an isolated incident, but just the most recent example of the violence and other deprivations that result from deeply rooted racism and discrimination in our society. Unfortunately, it also appears that a small number of those demonstrating in support of this important cause have resorted to violence. As a Company, we do not condone violence in any form. I encourage everyone at Watts to make their voices heard on this issue effectively and peacefully. Please stay safe.

Racism in any form is the antithesis of everything that we believe in as a company. While racism can look very different around the world, one thing that remains the same is that racism of any kind will not be tolerated here at Watts or in our communities. We are fortunate to work for a company that is willing and wanting to have open conversations about our inherent biases, about respectful inclusion, and about working together with trust, integrity, and respect. I watch all of you live these values daily, as One Watts, and I am proud.

Watching the events of the last few days unfold is tough to take, particularly on top of COVID-19. For all of our colleagues hurting right now, please know that you are not alone and that we support you. I encourage all of you to lead with empathy: to create safe spaces for one another's voices, to ask questions and listen carefully, to help your colleagues understand a new point of view, to respect each other's unique and important differences, and to give one another room to breathe and be. We also have resources available to help, including our Employee Assistance Program, our Global Hot Line and, of course, you are always welcome to come to any member of the Global Leadership Team for assistance.

We must continue to work together to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all Watts employees. It is important that we come together to support each other in these difficult times. I ask that you support each other as we all process the painful events of the last few days.

Best regards,

Bob Pagano

CEO and President
