North Andover, MA – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of Watts employees around the world wore for the company’s second annual “Pink for a Day” event on October 19, 2022. Watts pledged a $5 donation on behalf of each employee who wore pink clothing or accessories on the designated day, and to celebrate the high level of engagement, contributed $25,000 to Susan G. Komen’s advocacy, research and support efforts.
“Our global workforce came together for a cause that unfortunately impacts us all, and it was touching to see thousands of our employees supporting this initiative,” said Robert Pagano Jr., President and CEO, said when they began celebrating Pink for a Day last year. “The Susan G. Komen foundation takes a holistic approach to its services, from cancer research to patient support, and we are proud to financially contribute to this mission.”
The event was created by the Watts Diversity and Corporate Communications teams to spread awareness, contribute to an important foundation and honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer.
