North Andover, MA – On Monday, November 8, Watts Water Technologies President and Chief Executive Officer Robert J. Pagano, Jr. presented a check to the Susan G. Komen® Breast Cancer Foundation on behalf of the company’s global workforce.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of Watts employees around the world wore “Pink for a Day” on October 19 to show their support for groundbreaking cancer research and advocacy. Watts pledged $2 for each employee who wore pink clothing or accessories on the designated day, and to celebrate the high level of engagement, tripled the final tally.
“Our global workforce came together for a cause that unfortunately impacts us all, and it was touching to see thousands of our employees supporting this initiative,” said Robert Pagano Jr., President and CEO. “The Susan G. Komen foundation takes a holistic approach to its services, from cancer research to patient support, and we are proud to financially contribute to this mission.”
The event was created by the Watts Diversity and Corporate Communications teams and the Women of Watts employee resource group to spread awareness, contribute to an important foundation and honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer.
