Throughout 2021, Watts continued its partnership with Planet Water Foundation, installing seven AquaTowers across five countries and positively impacting more than 10,800 people.
During World Water Day in March, Watts sponsored the installation of two integrated water systems for residents in Indonesia and Mexico. As part of Planet Water Foundation’s Global Handwashing Day initiatives in October, Watts sponsored five additional AquaTowers, bringing clean drinking water to five vulnerable communities in Cambodia, India, Mexico, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Each project provided schools with AquaSan mobile surface disinfection system to promote good water hygiene practices in the school’s latrines, as well as a water health and hygiene education program for community members.
“Safe and clean water is a fundamental human right, and we are committed to safeguarding this through our partnership with Planet Water Foundation, as well as our products and solutions that protect, control and conserve water,” said Robert J. Pagano, Jr., CEO, President, and Chairperson of the Board. “As a responsible corporate citizen, Watts will continue these efforts to improve access and create a more equitable world.”
Watts has partnered with Planet Water since 2016, providing clean water to approximately 45,000 people in Cambodia, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Philippines, Thailand and Puerto Rico.
