Watts Water Technologies is proud of our continued partnership supporting Planet Water Foundation and their powerful, impactful Project 24 campaign for World Water Day on March 22, 2024.
To help expand access to clean water for vulnerable communities around the world, Watts sponsored two projects in the Philippines on March 5 and 6, and two projects in Vietnam on March 6 and 8.
Each location received an AquaTower community water filtration system and handwashing facilities, a school-based hygiene education program, a community-based hygiene education program and an AquaSan surface disinfection system, which provides schools with sanitization capabilities.
The systems allow safe drinking water access for up to 18,000 people and sanitization capabilities to reflect World Health Organization standards.
“We are immensely grateful to Watts Water for generously providing us with the AquaTower. It will nurture good health, and serve as a source of potable drinking water accessible to all.", said Eduardo Yu, School Principal, Polo North Elementary School, Quezon, Philippines.
Planet Water Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to providing access to safe drinking water to impoverished communities. Through the installation of our community-based water filtration systems, handwashing infrastructures, and the implementation of our Water-Health & Hygiene Education programs, we direct our attention to two critical areas: supporting schools, children, and local communities in the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions, as well as the provision of safe drinking water in the aftermath of natural disasters worldwide. Since 2009, Planet Water has deployed projects that provide clean water access to more than four million people across 28 countries.
