The annual list highlights 750 companies across 26 countries that demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability. To determine the ranking, Newsweek and its partners evaluated more than 8,000 publicly listed companies worldwide. Participants were assessed using over 25 criteria, including greenhouse gas emissions, water use, waste generation, and the transparency of their sustainability reporting and commitments. Companies also had to meet the European Union’s sustainability standards, maintain publicly available disclosures, and employ more than 1,000 people.
