Watts Series WVS valve setters are designed to augment the installation of the “N” pattern backflow preventer assemblies. Series WVS are available in three connection options, flange by flange, mechanical joint by flange, and mechanical joint by mechanical joint. They are constructed of fusion epoxy coated ductile iron. Integral ductile iron support between elbows transfers thrust downstream, thus eliminating thrust block requirements between elbows. Mechanical joint restraint devices may be used at the pipe connections, depending on local conditions. Maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.1 bar).
