This 3 IN compact wafer silent check valve is used to prevent back pressure and the water hammer that results from reverse flow. The guided disc is spring-loaded to ensure closure prior to damaging reverse pressure. Wafer style silent check fits between flanges for compact line protection. It is cast iron with stainless steel trim.
