This simplex water softening system is a high efficient conventional cation exchange type water softener featuring the Watts LOCKSMITH(TM) control valve. It is designed for the point of use or point of entry applications where the benefits of softened water is required. The system has a 12 inch diameter mineral tank, contains 2 cubic feet of high capacity ion exchange resin, and a peak flow rate of up to 20 gallons per minute. It has a 1.25 IN MNPT inlet and outlet and a 1/2 IN FNPT drain connection. This unit exchanges scale forming calcium and magnesium ions with non-scale forming sodium ions to create soft water for a variety of applications. This high quality system comes with a mineral tank, resin, and control valve. The corrosion resistant control valve is operated by an electronic controller that stores key operational history that can be accessed by the user. The system is metered demand initiated so regeneration only occurs when necessary, which saves time, water, and salt.
