This replacement ultraviolet quartz sleeve is for the 12 gallons per minute ultraviolet water filtration system. The quartz sleeve protects the bulb and maintains a proper bulb temperature. The sleeve doesn't need to be replaced unless it is broken, but must be cleaned several times a year to keep the bulb effective in delivering high water quality.
