Filox media is an economical iron, hydrogen sulfide and manganese filtration media that out performs traditional Greensand and Birm. It has the highest flow rate of any standard iron removal media. This superior high efficiency media for filtration and removal capabilities requires no additional oxidizing chemicals typically needed for regeneration such as hydrogen peroxide and chlorine. This Filox media uses 80 percent manganese dioxide for enhanced performance and capacity. It is very effective with water pH range of 6.5 to 9.0. Media size is 12 x 40 mesh, is 0.5 cubic foot per bag and weighs 57 pounds.
