Encina Prep’s Future-Ready Chemistry Lab

What the Client Needed

Encina Prep High School was planning for the construction of a state-of-the-art chemistry building to help them stay at the forefront of science education. For their new lab, they needed a chemical drainage system stronger and more corrosion resistant than PVC or cast iron—something that could handle the disposal of the sometimes harsh chemicals used in their experiments without compromising safety or durability.

Solution

Working in tight spaces, the installers required a system that was easy to install without compromising reliability. Orion polypropylene pipe proved to be the ideal choice. Its wide temperature range, exceptional corrosion resistance, and flame-retardant properties ensure it can withstand rigorous lab experiments and regular use. Unlike traditional acid-waste solutions that can suffer under harsh chemical exposure, Orion’s high chemical resistance gave the team confidence in its long-term performance and reliability.

Results

From top-out to underground, the entire installation uses Orion products. Encina Prep is excited to open the new lab and looks forward to years of safe, dependable operation.
