High-End Condominium Complex Trusts Leak Defense System

What the Client Needed

Located in Pasadena, California, The Montana is a high-end, 28-unit building. The CFO had reached out to a representative of Leak Defense, a Watts brand, because the building had experienced leaks over several years. During their review process of what Leak Defense had to offer, the building experienced a catastrophic event which resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in water damage.

Solution

The Leak Defense System was installed within 30 days at the condo complex. This system is a purpose-built system comprised of a portfolio of products designed to provide protection against leaks in a variety of different applications. In this situation, the customer needed a system that could deliver cold/hot water and hot water recirculating lines in their solution package. Protecting three water lines that are connected can be challenging, but is common in high rise applications.

Within three months of the system being installed, the CFO reported three different instances where the system identified leaks which could have resulted in a serious event.

Results

Today, the system is operating fully throughout the complex. The CFO reflected on making their decision. “If you have already made the choice to go with this system, don’t wait to get it installed,” he said.
