Innovative Trench Drain System Meets Rigorous Industrial Standards

What the Client Needed

A new specialty chemical plant producing tertiary amines needed a robust drainage solution capable of handling large volumes of production wastewater. The project required an extensive trench drain system that not only delivered exceptional durability but also featured long, straight runs for simplified maintenance and cleaning. One of the most demanding aspects of the installation was a 160-foot square section of trench, calling for a solution that combined flexibility with ease of installation.

Solution

The project team collaborated closely with the plumbing contractor and wholesaler to design and implement the ideal drainage system. They selected the Dead Level® DX trench drain for its proven strength, straightforward installation, and ability to maintain straight runs. Because the system is factory-configured to meet site specifications, it didn’t require any field cutting to fit the layout. This eliminated time-consuming modifications on-site and allowed for a smoother, faster installation process. With a total of 360 feet of trench, including the complex 160-foot square section, the system allowed seamless integration with concrete catch basins while maintaining precision and performance throughout the process.

Results

The installation exceeded expectations. The clean, straight trench runs achieved with the Dead Level® DX system provided durability and efficiency, meeting the plant’s demanding operational requirements. The factory-configured sections fit together perfectly, saving installation time and reducing the potential for errors in the field.
