Ames Deringer™ 40 and 40G Reduced Pressure Zone Assemblies are designed to prevent hazardous contaminants and non-health hazard pollutants from entering the potable water supply system caused by backpressure and/or backsiphonage conditions.
Deringer 40 features integral Eccentric-seal™ butterfly shutoff valves for a short lay length, and True-Seal™ and Dual-action™ checks for high performance at low- and high-flow rates. Deringer 40G also features Dual-action checks, but with OS&Y shutoff valves. Either may be installed under continuous pressure service to protect against both backpressure and backsiphonage. Maximum working pressure: 175 psi (12 bar).
An optional flood sensor connection kit is available to detect flowing discharge from the relief valve. The sensor and activation module install externally and do not affect assembly performance for certifications. When a qualifying discharge occurs, the sensor energizes a relay that signals a flood condition to the building management system.
