DERINGER 50 LM 8

This 8 inch Ames Deringer(TM) 50 reduced pressure detector Type II backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent hazardous contaminants and non-health hazard pollutants from entering the potable water supply system caused by backpressure and/or backsiphonage conditions. Deringer 50 features integral Eccentric-Seal(TM) butterfly shutoff valves for a short lay length, integrated tamper switches, and True-Seal(TM) and Dual-Action(TM) checks for high performance at low-and high-flow rates. It may be installed under continuous pressure service to protect against both backpressure and backsiphonage. The Type II bypass is used to monitor unauthorized water usage, is primarily required on fire sprinkler systems, and comes without a meter. Maximum working pressure is 175psi (12 bar). This backflow assembly contains a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert(R) technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When activated through an add-on sensor connection kit, the flood sensor can send an alert to notify personnel about potential flooding. Add-on sensor connection kits are available for BMS and cellular communications.
