This gas connector kit contains 60 inch yellow coated corrosion resistant stainless steel gas connector 1/2 IN MIP (tapped 3/8 IN FIP) x 3/8 IN MIP (tapped 1/4 IN FIP) x 1/2 IN MIP SmartSense(R) excess flow valve and thermal shut off, thread sealant and leak solution. This CSA approved SafetyShield(R) gas connector features a premium antimicrobial coating to inhibit bacteria growth, improve corrosion and UV protection, and enhance flame and smoke resistance. The connector is commonly used for the installation of home appliances such as gas dryers. SmartSense(R) used with Dormont coated gas connectors gives an industry leading 3 levels of protection. The 1/2 IN OD flare x 1/2 IN MIP SmartSense excess flow valve and thermal shut off is an intricately-designed valve with two primary components, gas flow-limiting plunger and thermal shutoff sensing ring. SmartSense detects and activates in the event of gas line rupture, disconnection, or fire. The plunger limits gas flow and internal thermal ring expands to stop gas flow in temperatures ranging from 350-425 degrees F. SmartSense self resets to standard rate of flow after gas line restoration and pressure equalization. Item comes in a bag.
