This 2 IN cast iron flanged duplex basket strainer has two baskets, only one of which is pressurized at any time. When that basket becomes clogged, the diverter ball valves can be operated to divert flow to the opposite basket. This allows cleaning of the clogged basket under pressure and without shutting down the line. This duplex strainer comes with two (2) pre-installed pressure sensors that, when activated with the optional kit (sold separately), provide users with real-time strainer basket pressure differential monitoring, data stream, and full basket alerts via Modbus RS-485 serial communication (BAS) or Nexa Cloud communication (Wi-Fi). This enables user to make informed decisions pertaining to maintenance of the strainer. The Smart Strainer provides a proactive way to avoid unnecessary downtime and ensures efficient and smooth operation of the overall system.
