This Micro Z(R) filtration system with a 11 GPM peak service flow rate is designed for residential and light industrial point of use or point of entry applications where filtered water is required. This system for sediment removal uses high performance Micro Z filter media to provide increased loading capacities and higher service flow rates. Micro Z's unique external surface offers increased porosity to outperform sand filters by reducing water consumption. A Micro Z filter bed holds 2.8 times the number of solids a sand bed holds, reducing backwashing requirements by almost three times. This system features the Watts LOCKSMITH(TM) control valve manufactured from high-tech materials. The valve has been engineered and tested to perform in the most demanding environments. The state-of-the-art computer programming increases efficiency for backwashing to clean media bed and saves water. All surfaces contacted by water are made from 100 percent polymer components so that corrosion from acidic water and brine are no longer a concern.
