This high capacity, automatic backwashing, activated carbon filtration system, model PWCL125GAC3, is designed to reduce chlorine as well as taste, odor, and color caused by organics, from the water. This system features the Watts LOCKSMITH(R) control valve offering advanced programmable features. It is suitable for residential applications with peak flow rates up to 11 gallons per minute for dechlorination and has a media bed size of 3 cubic feet. The mineral tank is constructed of corrosion resistant fiberglass reinforced plastic, and has a 14 inch diameter. This system has a 1.25 IN MNPT inlet and outlet and a 3/4 IN FNPT drain connection. This system uses premium grade coconut shell activated carbon, which, is one of the highest capacity and cleanest carbons on the market for dechlorination applications. The control valve is manufactured from high-tech materials, engineered and tested to perform in the most demanding environments. All surfaces contacted by water are made from 100 percent polymer components so that corrosion from acidic water and brine are no longer a concern.
