This MasterSeries(R) 4 inch lead free configurable reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of high hazard (toxic) fluids found in the water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements. This valve features a longer lay-length for drop-in replacement of competitor?s N-pattern valves. It is used in industrial plants, hospitals, morgues, mortuaries and chemical plants. Also used in irrigation systems, boiler feed, water lines and installations requiring maximum protection. It is ideal for protection in continuous pressure piping applications, at cross-connections identified as health hazards and for contaminants at the service line entrance. This assembly consists of an epoxy coated ductile iron body, domestic OSY resilient seated gate valves, test cocks, spring loaded check valves and a pressure differential relief valve. Improved with a stainless-steel relief valve seat, these rugged assemblies yield greater dependability and extended valve life.
